Jaime Takenaka

Registered Physiotherapist, Paediatric Physiotherapist

MScPT, B.Sc. (Hons.) Kin.
[email protected]

Jaime completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, following a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology at Queen’s University.

Jaime grew up in the neighbourhood, where she was a competitive dancer. Her interest in physiotherapy began at a young age as she worked with many physiotherapists to rehabilitate her own dance-related injuries. These experiences taught her firsthand the importance of holistic and client-centered care. Jaime strongly believes in collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan that helps them return to the activities they love. Jaime’s approach to treatment combines manual therapy techniques, individualized exercise prescription and patient education.

Jaime also has a special interest in pediatrics. She has training and experience working with children with a variety of orthopedic and developmental conditions. Jaime takes a functional, play-based approach to physiotherapy which makes sessions both meaningful and fun.

Jaime is excited to continue learning through post-graduate education, with particular interests in dry needling and completing her manual therapy levels through the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) program.

In her free time, Jaime enjoys going to concerts, taking spin classes, travelling and spending time with friends and family!
