David has expertise and interest in all orthopaedic, sports medicine and musculoskeletal disorders. He is acknowledged by his peers as an expert in the field of manual therapy use in physiotherapy practice.

Physiotherapy Treatment

Prior to opening the clinic, David was a staff physiotherapist at the University of Toronto David L. Macintosh Sport Medicine Clinic for many years. During that time, he held National Team physiotherapy appointments with Swimming Canada, Rugby Canada and Squash Canada. As well as treating an orthopaedic physiotherapy caseload, he has worked frequently in recent years with the dance community through the clinic’s relationship with the School of Toronto Dance Theatre.

David carries a full-time caseload, and oversees one of the two therapy teams at the clinic, and mentors the clinic associates. He also oversees the Oncology Rehabilitation Program and Parkinson’s Disease Program at the clinic. As well, he is a clinical director of Trilogy Physiotherapy, with clinics in downtown Toronto and Bloor West. David is onsite at the Toronto East site Monday through Wednesday, and also practices in Fenelon Falls on a weekly basis.

In addition to his clinical practice, David was a postgraduate instructor for the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in the field of manual and manipulative therapy from 1996 until 2011. He is also trained in acupuncture by The Acupuncture Foundation of Canada.

David is registered to practice physiotherapy with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and additionally rostered by the College to deliver the controlled acts of spinal manipulation and acupuncture. He is also a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), The Ontario Physiotherapy Association, The Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists, and the Sport Physiotherapy Divison of the CPA.

David was a lead medical professional for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games.
